梵文的 prajna 譯成英文的 wisdom，意義或許稍有出入，但藏文的 sherab 一詞則有精確的涵義： she的意思是知識、了知，rab的意思是基本的、首要的，所以，sherab是首要的、高深的知識之意。因此，它並非指在某種技術或教育的意義上了知佛學義理、知道如何去做某些事或具有教法在形而上方面的特殊知識。
在這裡，知識（knowledge）的意思是了知情境，重點在於了知（knowingness），而不在實際的知識。那是沒有自我的知識，不涉及與自我連結在一起的那種自我中心的、覺察到自己知道的意識。因此，這種知識——prajna 或 sherab——是既寬廣又有遠見的，同時也異常準確並深具洞察力，它介入我們生活的各個層面當中。因此，它在我們的發展上扮演著非常重要的腳色，就如同方法（梵文upaya）一樣，是正確處理情境的善巧方便。

If you claim to be atheist or non-religious then don’t focus your mind on religion
To focus attacks on any specific religion just reveals your capacity for hatred and discontent
This mindset is what is precipitating the sad state of affairs we have to deal with daily
I don’t read the Bible but I have one. My family reads it. I believe in the concepts that are trying to be established. I also believe in Islam and Budda’s concepts as well as the scientific concepts as presented.
If I were in a room with all the religions and non-religions of the world represented by one person each. I would base my relations on the “Actions” of the people not their “Beliefs”. While there are fanatics among all the groups the beliefs for the most part are trying to elicit a ‘good’ society. All have powerful messages to be communicated and all are worthy of respect by others.
With me, you do not have to defend your beliefs but your actions are accountable.
