Taj Mahal Hotel had being warned
Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata, whose company owns the Taj hotel, discusses this week’s attacks in Mumbai. |
The Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, India, temporarily increased security after being warned of a possible terrorist attack, the chairman of the company that owns the hotel said Saturday. |
“It’s ironic that we did have such a warning, and we did have some measures,” Tata said, without elaborating on the warning or when security measures were enacted. “People couldn’t park their cars in the portico, where you had to go through a metal detector.” |
However, Tata said the attackers did not enter through the entrance that has a metal detector. Instead, they came in a back entrance, he said. Watch Tata discuss the threats » |

Hi
Would John McCain have won the US presidential elections if the elections had taken place after the Mumbai Carnage:
Would the USA voters put national security in front of the economic meltdown and elected John McCain?
Would John McCain use this attack in Mumbai as an election issue to target Barrak Obama’s lack of experience in tackling national security issues?
Thanks
Ambarish

If Pakistan’s intentions are as clean as they sound to be,now is the time they should take help from USA and India to clean out LeT and JeM from their soil.

It would be funny if it weren’t sad. Metal detectors on the front door, but left the back doors open. Probably, had welcome mats out. What part of security threat did they not understand?

it was very ironic what was happening there…

A bit strange, given that with India’s experiences with terrorism you wouldn’t have expected them to drop the ball like this.
Although I’m still more worried about the overall geopolitical implications of the attack, as illustrated here:

It doesn’t matter if they had metal detectors. Think about it, tourists check in with golf clubs, metal trinkets, jewelry and all sorts of stuff, how many guests are you going to search on the curb? Do you think a guest would feel very welcome if you strip search each one of them like the TAA does while boarding a flight? They would simply move on to the next hotel…
Also, the guys who entered Taj, strolled in with their guns, the metal detectors could have buzzed and shrieked to kingdom come, it would make no difference, their guns were already spraying bullets.
It is only the change in perspective due to this heinous attack which will trigger off (hopefully) the needed changes in security and intelligence similar to that in the US after the 911 attacks.

Increased security will result in less guests as the procedure of searching baggages is really irritating for actual tourists and guests.

There are enough reasons to suspect the hand of “insiders” at these hotels that allowed a free entry to the terrorists. In India every tragedy (in fact, every major incident) has a political angle to it. Politicians are no better than terrorists as they only shed crocodile tears and pull mileage out of the agony of the masses. They are a curse to this country!

This is joke. The guys who were so powerful that the Whole Indian machinery was used against them and yet they took 3 DAYS to neutralize them and once they are caught they react so nicely that they’re actually telling each and every little detail about them
heheheh I can’t believe Indians are actually believing them or are they doing it themselves?
Just like they did it in Indian Parliament and Samjhauta Express? and later we found that Indian Army Colonel and Maj Generals were involved.
Looks like if there’s an Independent Inquiry, we’ll find something same.
I wish Scotland Yard is invited to help out the Investigations… They are one of the best in the business.
it makes CNN report Jalalabad in Pakistan and create negative hype about the events just like the Indian Media which did the same when their Parliament and “Samjhauta Express” train was attacked and they quickly blamed it on Pakistan and ISI and now Indian Independent Inquiry reports that it was in Inside job and Indian Army Colonel and 2 Maj. Generals were involved.
So what if we found the same here?
The question is very simple….
You need to find the beneficiaries who will actually benefit to see Pakistan and India standing against each others having Nuclear Weapons in their hands.
Let’s take these things very seriously and 1 little mis-report, 1 little mistake can bring these two countries and the region in total chaos.
1. Gujrat Riots?
2. Christians Killed?
3. Churches set on Fire?
4. Assam?
5. Bangal?
6. Tamil Nadu?
7. Naxxalites?
There’s a research report on Muslims in India by an Independent Commission which clearly reports that the second biggest majority are Muslims and they are treated even more badly then the low cast Hindus.
They are underdeveloped.
They are denied of Govt Jobs
They are denied of quality education
They are denied of help their poverty
They are denied of any basic human needs.
I’ll find out the report for you if you want me to….! There are much more points than the above which I could remember.
Samjhauta Express? What is your explanation about the Involvement of of Indian Army Colonel and 2 Maj Generals involved in those attacks which were also blamed on Pakistan and ISI?
Look it’s too early to say anything who is really involved in these attacks, there are a lot of vested interest groups who donot want to see India and Pakistan shaking hands and taking pictures with big smiles…
They don’t want us to have Peace, Trade and friendship in the region and they definitely don’t want the poor of the both countries to breath in the times of prosperity.
They don’t want us to exchange goods, they don’t want us to build Gas pipelines from IRAN and they don’t want us to construct a Trade Corridor towards the Central Asian states.
And, What they want us to do is what we’ve already started doing
Finger Pointing each other and this may go to the very extend when we’ll be standing in a Nuclear Military Situation.
This is what we need to understand and think wisely… We need to rise to the occasion and see who is really benefiting from all these scenes,,, some directly and some are mis-reporting to create chaos so that they get another BREAKING NEWS.
We cannot afford another blame towards Pakistan and ISI only to find later that it was an inside job and some Indian Army Colonel and Maj General were involved just like Indian Parliament Attacks and Samjhauta Express Attacks.
You seem wise and definitely you’ll understand my point here.
Thanks
PS:
so I can reply you quickly.
And you can reply to my comment that will help me have an Email Alert
And let’s not forget the attacks on Indian Parliament and Samjhauta Express which were actually done by the INDIAN ARMY colonel and 2 Maj. Generals with the support of the now called “Hindu Al-Qaeda” groups and Hindu Fundamentalist groups who are also involved in the recent killings of Christians and those Hindus who converted to Christianity and also burning of Churches and Images of Jesus and Mary all across several Indian States.
Whats really funny about this episode is that Terrorists are so stupid that they will always tell their names as Muslims and will always mention about Rights of Muslims in India and around the world…. See this Reports For International Website Reporting About Mumbai Terror

a citizen’s draft is all we want…
corrupt politicians, inefficient system, and lack of willingness to bring the change makes us loose a breathe..
its time to resolve all issues at once.
only if we would..

whether they were warned or not, the damage has been done. you can’t say ‘what if’..so its time get educated from this horrific event and make sure those responsible pay their price.

How odd they entered through the back where there are no metal detectors. Imagine that!

Salman Bhai, You seem happy that it took Indian machinery 3 days to neutralize them. Please do not forget Indians Pakistanis we have same culture and should not allow politics create hatred among us.So instead of spewing venom we must assure one another that terrorism must be fought against no matter where it originates.
